The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, has arrived in the North America–Australia Presbytery (NAAP), specifically in the United States, for a two‑week official visit as part of his pastoral engagement with PCG congregations abroad.

He is accompanied by the Chairpersons of the Ga West, Brong Ahafo, and Volta Presbyteries, who will also participate in several activities during the visit. The Moderator arrived on Easter Monday, 6th April 2026, and is scheduled to undertake a series of pastoral, administrative, and ceremonial duties across several states.

His visit begins today with orientation and rehearsal sessions in Manhattan, followed by an Ordination Service on 8th April. He will then participate in the 12th Presbytery Session in Orange, New Jersey, where he is expected to address ministers, presbyters, and delegates from across the presbytery.

The Moderator and his team will subsequently travel to other states as part of the itinerary. He is expected to return to Ghana in the third week of April. In his absence, the Chairperson of the Western Presbytery, Rev. Dr. Joseph Apea Assamoah, will serve as Acting Moderator.

In a brief interaction, the Moderator extended his warm regards to all presbyteries as they prepare for their upcoming Presbytery Sessions, urging them to uphold unity, prayerfulness, and diligence in their deliberations.
