The Presbytery Youth Coordinator and Minister‑in‑Charge of the Prince of Peace Congregation, Winneba Junction, Rev. Frederick Obiri Addo, has been elected as the new Clerk of the Central Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG).
He secured 36 votes, representing 58.1 percent, to emerge Clerk‑elect during proceedings at the ongoing Presbytery Session. His election took place at the 104th Central Presbytery Session, officially constituted at the Ebenezer Congregation, Agona Swedru, in accordance with the constitutional requirements of the church.
The Session was convened under the leadership of the Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Fiifi Foh Arkhurst, who presided over the opening ceremony with the support of the Presbytery Clerk, Rev. Albert Baffoe Koomson. Both clergy and laity were fully represented, marking a smooth and orderly start to the 2026 Session.
Delegates from all 14 districts of the Central Presbytery were present at the Session. These districts include Nsaba, Swedru, Kwanyako, Asikuma, Bisease, Brakwa, Nyakrom, Akroso, Winneba, Kasoa, Kasoa South, Swedru North, Kasoa North, and Nyanyano. Their participation underscored the unity and collective commitment of the presbytery as it deliberates on matters affecting its mission and administrative life.
The Presbytery Session, scheduled from Thursday, 9th to Sunday, 12th April 2026, continues with worship, elections, reports, and discussions aimed at strengthening the spiritual and operational direction of the Central Presbytery.
