The Asikuma District Minister, Rev. Nana Osei Owusu Fosu, has been elected as the new Chairperson of the Central Presbytery. He secured a decisive victory with 44 votes, representing 71% of the total ballots cast.
His election took place during the 104th Presbytery Session, which was officially constituted at the Ebenezer Congregation, Agona Swedru, in accordance with the provisions of the church’s Constitution.
The Session was held under the leadership of the outgoing Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Fiifi Foh Arkhurst, who presided over proceedings with the support of the Presbytery Clerk, Rev. Albert Baffoe Koomson. Both clergy and laity were fully represented at the opening ceremony, marking a smooth and orderly start to the 2026 Session.
Delegates commended the peaceful conduct of the election and the strong participation of ministers and presbyters across the presbytery. Rev. Owusu Fosu’s election is expected to usher in a new phase of leadership as the Central Presbytery continues its mission work, administrative strengthening, and community engagement.
The Presbytery Session continues with worship, deliberations, and the consideration of key reports and decisions that will shape the life and witness of the Central Presbytery in the years ahead.
