The West Akyem Presbytery has announced new leadership following the 31st Presbytery Session held from 10th to 11th April 2026 at Emmanuel Congregation, Akim Oda, with a closing thanksgiving service on Sunday, 12th April at Ebenezer Congregation, Church, Akim Wenchi.

Rev. Charles Baah Ankrah has been named the next Chairperson of the West Akyem Presbytery. He will assume office later this year, taking over from Rev. Raymond Baah Abekah, who has led the Presbytery with dedication and vision.

In a similar transition, Mr. Daniel Nyarko Debrah has been elected as the incoming Presbytery Lay Representative on the General Assembly Council, succeeding Mrs. Comfort Osei Boakye.

The 31st Presbytery Session was held under the chairmanship of Rev. Raymond Baah Abekah, assisted by Rev. Samuel Agyei, Clerk of Presbytery, and the outgoing Lay Representative, Mrs. Comfort Osei Boakye. Delegates, ministers, and representatives from across the Presbytery gathered to deliberate on the mission, witness, and administrative life of the Church.

This year’s session was guided by the theme, “Celebrating Our Heritage: Building on the Foundation Already Laid” (1 Corinthians 3:11)—a call to honour the legacy of past leaders while strengthening the Presbytery’s spiritual and administrative foundations for the years ahead.

The West Akyem Presbytery extends its warmest congratulations to Rev. Charles Baah Ankrah and Mr. Daniel Nyarko Debrah, praying for God’s grace and guidance as they prepare to take up their new roles in service to the Church.
