Kade: Rejoice Congregation YAF donates to Govt Hospital NICU
In a heartening display of social responsibility, the Young Adult Fellowship (YAF) of the Rejoice Congregation, Kade, has donated essential medical equipment to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of the Kade Government Hospital.
The donation, made in collaboration with the wider congregation, included three baby cots and 130 cot sheets. Rejoice Congregation is located in the Kusi District under the Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery. Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, NICU In‑Charge, Ms. Yvonne Oware, expressed profound gratitude. “This gesture will go a long way in helping the unit curb the ‘no bed syndrome’ we currently face,” she said.
According to the Minister‑in‑Charge of the Rejoice Congregation, the initiative was prompted by a direct plea from hospital authorities. The NICU had been struggling with a critical shortage of beds, often leaving newborns without adequate space for care. He noted that the church felt a moral obligation to intervene, especially where vulnerable infants were concerned.
The donation reflects the congregation’s commitment to community service and aligns with the church’s mission to demonstrate Christ’s love through practical support.
