Asante Akyem Presbytery honours young achievers
The Asante Akyem Presbytery has celebrated the creativity and excellence of its young members during the Thanksgiving Service of its 37th Presbytery Session, honouring the top five Children’s Service participants who represented the Presbytery in the National Moderator’s Essay and Art Competition.
The recognition ceremony became one of the most uplifting moments of the service, as the awardees were applauded for their dedication, talent, and outstanding performance, which brought pride to the entire Presbytery. Delegates and congregants expressed joy as the young achievers were acknowledged for excelling in a competition that draws participation from Presbyterian children across the country.
A standout among the honourees was Edlyn Enstie Ekuffu from the Nobewam District, who distinguished herself by placing 5th nationally in the competition. She also secured 2nd place at the Presbytery level, earning admiration from leaders and members present. Her achievement was described as a sign of the hard work of children’s ministry teachers, supportive parents, and the nurturing environment provided by the Church.
Presbytery leadership used the occasion to encourage children across all districts to take advantage of future educational and creative opportunities offered by the Church. The leaders expressed hope that the achievements of the honourees would motivate many more children to participate actively in church-based academic and creative programmes.
