More than two dozen of Ga Presbytery ministers’ children converged at the Presbyterian Women’s Centre, Abokobi, for a spiritually enriching and identity‑shaping retreat designed to strengthen their faith and affirm their unique calling as children raised in the manse.

The retreat was on the theme: “Called from the Manse: Building on the Foundation Already Laid.” The theme reflects the Presbyterian Church of Ghana’s commitment to nurturing ministers’ children, recognising both the blessings and the unique pressures that come with growing up in pastoral homes.

Speakers for the retreat include Director of the Ramseyer Training Centre, Rev. Gideon Buernor Puplampu, and Rev. Frank Kissi, both seasoned ministers with deep experience in youth formation, Christian education, and pastoral family life.

Their sessions are focusing on spiritual grounding, identity formation, emotional resilience, and the responsibility of ministers’ children to build positively on the legacy of faith they have inherited.

Participants are being taken through teachings, group discussions, prayer sessions, and interactive activities aimed at helping them appreciate their upbringing while equipping them to navigate the expectations placed on them as “children of the manse.”

The retreat also provides a safe space for bonding, sharing experiences, and strengthening peer support among ministers’ children across the Ga Presbytery.
