B/A Presbytery honours three former leaders
The Brong Ahafo Presbytery has honoured three of its former leaders by naming its Presbytery Office Complex Block after them, marking one of the high points of the Presbytery’s 60th Anniversary Celebration.
The block now bears the name Amoa‑Kuma, Opong, Brobbey (A.O.B.) Block, in recognition of the exceptional service of Rev. Dr. (Rtd.) Kwame Amoa‑Kuma, Rev. Herbert Anim Opong, and Rev. Robert Richard Brobbey, who served respectively as the 10th, 11th, and 12th Chairpersons of the Presbytery.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Benjamin Appiah, explained that the Office Complex, which has served as the administrative centre of the Presbytery since 2007, stands as a testament to the vision and dedication of these past leaders. He noted that the decision to honour them was prayerfully considered and subsequently approved by the General Assembly Council.
The Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, commended the Presbytery for what he described as a meaningful act of gratitude and faithful stewardship. He emphasised that such gestures preserve the memory of sacrificial leadership and inspire future generations to serve with integrity and devotion.
In a formal declaration, the Moderator affirmed the naming of the block, stating that it shall henceforth be known as the Amoa‑Kuma, Opong, Brobbey (A.O.B.) Block, dedicated in the name of the Triune God. The ceremony ended with warm congratulations to the honourees, whose contributions continue to shape the life and ministry of the church.
