Moderator prays for WASSCE candidates nationwide

The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, has offered heartfelt prayers for all candidates sitting for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

In a message shared ahead of the examination period, the Moderator invoked God’s divine favour, success, and excellence upon the students, expressing confidence that this season would mark a turning point in their academic journey.

He prayed that the Lord would grant candidates clarity of thought, retentive memory, and calmness throughout the examination period. He further asked for God’s protection over all schools and examination centres, declaring that the efforts of the students would yield positive and rewarding outcomes.

Rt. Rev. Dr. Opare Kwakye also encouraged the candidates to remain disciplined, diligent, and focused, reminding them that success is achieved through a combination of hard work and trust in God. He urged them not to be anxious but to approach each paper with confidence, knowing that God is with them.

The Moderator expressed hope that this year’s WASSCE would bring breakthroughs, open doors, and testimonies for students across the country. He reaffirmed the church’s commitment to supporting young people in their educational pursuits and prayed that the examination period would end in joy for candidates, families, and schools.
