The Department of Mission and Evangelism has announced the celebration of the National Evangelism Week, scheduled for 17th to 24th May 2026. The week‑long programme forms part of the church’s annual evangelistic calendar and seeks to renew the commitment of congregations to intentional discipleship and community outreach.

This year’s celebration is themed “Celebrating Our Heritage: Building on the Foundation Already Laid Through Discipleship,” with scriptural references drawn from Matthew 28:19–20; 2 Timothy 2:2; Colossians 2:6–7; and 1 Corinthians 3:10–11. The theme calls the church to reflect on its missionary heritage while strengthening efforts to nurture believers and reach the unreached.

The Director of Mission and Evangelism, Rev. Dr. Emmanuel K. Sarbah, who is encouraging congregations across the country to participate fully in the programme, explained that the celebration will be launched on Sunday, 17th May 2026, after which congregations will embark on a series of evangelistic activities from Monday, 18th to Friday, 22nd May.

These activities include house‑to‑house evangelism, follow‑up visits, crusades, and prayer walks aimed at deepening personal witness and community engagement. On Saturday, 23rd May, members will take part in street evangelism and a health walk, demonstrating the church’s commitment to both spiritual and physical well‑being.

The week will climax on Sunday, 24th May with “Operation Show Your Convert,” during which members are encouraged to bring their converts or invite guests to worship.
