Moderator, Clerk begin official visit to Europe Presbytery
The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, together with the Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev. David Aboagye‑Danquah, have arrived in Hamburg, Germany to begin an official visit to the Europe Presbytery.
The delegation received a warm and colourful welcome at the airport, where the Europe Presbytery Chairperson, the North Germany District Minister, the Session, and representatives of all groups within the Asomdwee Mma Congregation greeted them with songs, flowers, and expressions of joy.
From the airport, the Moderator and Clerk were escorted to the church premises, where congregational leaders formally welcomed them. This visit is particularly significant, as it marks the first time both Principal Officers of the PCG are visiting the Hamburg congregation together, and the Clerk’s first official visit to the area. Their presence is expected to strengthen relationships, encourage the mission work of the Presbytery, and provide firsthand insight into the growth and opportunities within the European mission field.
The Moderator and Clerk will engage with ministers, presbyters, and congregants as they acquaint themselves with ongoing activities and developments within the Presbytery. There will also be a chapel dedication in Hamburg. Their visit underscores the PCG’s growing commitment to maintaining strong connections with its diaspora communities and supporting the spiritual and administrative work of congregations abroad.
