The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, has returned to Ghana after a pastoral and administrative visit to the Europe Presbytery, where he engaged congregations, ministers, and leadership across several mission stations.

The visit formed part of his ongoing global pastoral tours aimed at strengthening fellowship, deepening mission partnerships, and encouraging the church’s diaspora communities.

During the visit, the Moderator, who was away with the Clerk of General Assembly, Rev. David Aboagye-Danquah, led worship services, held pastoral interactions with ministers and presbyters, and met with leadership of the Europe Presbytery to discuss mission growth and discipleship issues.

He also dedicated a new chapel for the Hamburg Congregation, a moment that reflected the growing presence and impact of the PCG in Europe. The Moderator’s engagements highlighted the importance of maintaining strong spiritual and administrative ties between the church in Ghana and its overseas congregations.

He encouraged members to remain rooted in the Reformed faith, uphold unity and discipline, and contribute meaningfully to the church’s mission both abroad and at home. Leaders of the Europe Presbytery expressed gratitude for the Moderator’s visit, describing it as timely, uplifting, and unifying.

They noted that his presence brought encouragement to ministers and congregations navigating the challenges of ministry in multicultural and secular contexts. The Moderator, along with the Clerk of General Assembly has since returned to Ghana to resume official duties.
