The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, has expressed profound appreciation to congregations and members of the Church worldwide for their generous support toward the Kutunse Project.

Speaking during the morning service at the El‑Shaddai Congregation, Tesa-Adjiringanor, where he worshipped as part of the national fundraising observance, the Moderator commended Presbyterians for demonstrating unity, sacrifice, and a shared commitment to the Church’s long‑term infrastructural vision.

He noted that the Kutunse Project represents a major milestone in the Church’s mission agenda and called on members to continue supporting its completion. The Moderator emphasised that the spirit of giving exhibited across the church reflects the biblical call to offer “a willing and acceptable gift” unto the Lord.

He encouraged congregations to sustain the momentum beyond the fundraising day, adding that every contribution—large or small—brings the church closer to completing the 1,600‑seater national conference and retreat centre.

The fundraising exercise, held on Sunday, 31st May 2026, took place simultaneously across all congregations and preaching points of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in Ghana and abroad. Reports received by the Public Relations Office indicate enthusiastic participation from Presbyteries, districts, and diaspora congregations, with many organising special services, pledges, and thanksgiving offerings in support of the project.

The Moderator further assured the church that the General Assembly Office remains committed to transparency, accountability, and timely communication on the progress of the project. He encouraged members to continue praying for the successful completion of the facility, which is expected to serve as a national hub for conferences, retreats, and mission activities.
