West Akyem Presbytery donates GHS20K to two districts
The West Akyem Presbytery has donated GH¢20,000 to support the Assin Akropong and Akyem Achiase Districts, presenting GH¢10,000 each during a brief ceremony at the Presbytery Office as part of the Presbytery Council Meeting.
The cheques were handed over by Mrs. Comfort Osei Boakye, the Presbytery Lay Representative on the General Assembly Council, on behalf of the Presbytery leadership. The support aims to strengthen district operations and enhance local ministry growth.
The funds were raised through the “One Ghana Cedi Project,” a crowd‑funding initiative introduced by the Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Raymond Baah Abekah. The project encourages members across the Presbytery to contribute at least one Ghana cedi, demonstrating how small, consistent giving can create meaningful impact. The pooled contributions are periodically disbursed to selected districts to ease financial pressures and support grassroots development.
Church leaders commended members for their sustained generosity, noting that the initiative continues to highlight the power of collective giving in advancing the mission of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.
