Church treasurers trained in tally accounting
The West Akyem Presbytery has held a practical training workshop for all District Treasurers at the Oda Ascension Session Hall, aimed at strengthening financial management and improving administrative efficiency across the Presbytery.
The session focused on equipping treasurers with hands‑on skills in Tally accounting software, enabling them to streamline financial records, enhance accuracy, and adopt modern accounting practices. The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Samuel Teku, Director of Finance for the Asante Akyem Presbytery, supported by Mr. Benjamin Ahenkorah, West Akyem Presbytery Finance Director.
A delegation from the host district—Rev. Emmanuel Ossei Asare, District Minister; Mr. Daniel Nyarko Debrah, District Lay Representative; and Mr. Jacob Kofi Anim‑Simpong, District Clerk—attended the training to show solidarity and encourage the treasurers.
Addressing participants, Rev. Ossei Asare commended the impressive turnout and praised the treasurers’ readiness to embrace digital tools. He noted that adopting Tally will strengthen accountability and support the overall growth of the church. He encouraged them to apply the new skills diligently in their respective districts.
The workshop forms part of the Presbytery’s broader commitment to modernizing administrative systems and empowering officers with relevant digital competencies.
