Wear Bicentennial Cloth on General Assembly Sunday

Members of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana at congregations and preaching points worldwide are to wear the Bicentennial Anniversary Cloth on General Assembly Sunday, 16th August 2026.

The directive was announced in a circular signed by the Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev. David Aboagye‑Danquah. He reminded the church that the Bicentennial theme — Celebrating God’s Faithfulness: 200 Years of Impacting Generations — calls for visible unity and collective gratitude.

Wearing the cloth, he noted, is both symbolic and missional: a public testimony of God’s steadfast love and a declaration of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana’s identity as “one body in Christ.” The circular emphasises that the act is an opportunity for congregations across the country to proclaim the goodness of the Lord and reaffirm their commitment to the mission and ministry of the church.

It also strengthens the sense of belonging as the PCG continues its year‑long celebration of this historic milestone. Members are encouraged to approach the day with thanksgiving, hope, and confidence in the future God has prepared for His church.
