Focus now on Commissioning Services this weekend
With the 2026 Ordination of Ministers successfully concluded, bringing a total of 88 newly ordained ministers into full pastoral ministry, the Presbyterian Church of Ghana now turns its focus on the next major event in its ministerial formation calendar: the Commissioning of Ministerial Probationers from the Ramseyer Training Centre, Abetifi.
The Commissioning Service, which officially ushers probationers into supervised ministerial practice, will take place over two days, featuring two batches of candidates. Batch One, comprising will be commissioned on Saturday, 18th July 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at Ramseyer Congregation, Abetifi in the Kwahu Presbytery while Batch Two will follow on Sunday, 19th July 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at Adom Congregation, Twenedurase, also within the Kwahu Presbytery.
The commissioning marks the beginning of probationers’ practical ministry journey, where they will serve under supervision, deepen their pastoral skills, and prepare for eventual ordination. Coming immediately after the ordination of ministers across five presbyteries, the back‑to‑back ceremonies highlight the church’s commitment to strengthening its ministerial workforce and nurturing future leaders for mission and ministry.
