Rev. Dr. Yaw Boadu takes over from Rev. Puplampu
The Ramseyer Training Centre (RTC) is set for a change in leadership as Rev. Gideon Buernor Puplampu concludes his tenure as Director at the end of August 2026. The announcement was made during his graduation address last Friday, marking the final time he would speak in that capacity.
Rev. Puplampu disclosed that Rev. Dr. Yaw Boadu, formerly the Centre’s Programmes Director, has been selected to take over the mantle of leadership. His appointment follows a successful interview and vetting process conducted by the General Assembly Office earlier in the year.
Rev. Dr. Boadu is expected to be formally introduced at the 2026 General Assembly in Abetifi next month and will assume office on 1st September 2026, ushering in a new phase for the Centre’s ministerial formation and administrative direction.
In his address, Rev. Puplampu reflected on his years of service with gratitude, describing his time at RTC as demanding yet deeply fulfilling. He expressed appreciation to the Church, staff, faculty, and trainees for their support throughout his tenure, and thanked God for sustaining him through the responsibilities of leadership.
The transition marks a significant moment for RTC, which continues to expand its programmes, strengthen ministerial training, and deepen its role in shaping the next generation of Presbyterian ministers. With Rev. Dr. Boadu stepping into the role, the Centre anticipates continuity, renewed energy, and further growth in its mission.
