The General Assembly Office has announced the schedule for the 26th General Assembly, beginning with the Constitution of the Assembly on Friday, 31st July 2026. This year’s Assembly is themed “Celebrating Our Heritage: Building on the Foundation Already Laid,” inspired by 1 Corinthians 3:11.
The opening session on 31st July will be held virtually, running from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Zoom and broadcast live on PCG TV, allowing church members across Ghana and the global PCG community to participate remotely.
The session will be led by the Principal Officers, the Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, and the Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev. David Aboagye‑Danquah, with ministers and church leaders from all presbyteries joining.
Following the constitution, the General Assembly will continue with virtual workshops from 1st to 11th August, providing discussions and preparatory sessions for commissioners and church officers.
The main General Assembly will be held in person from 12th to 16th August 2026 at the Ramseyer Training Centre, Abetifi–Kwahu, Kwahu Presbytery. Delegates from across the 21 presbyteries of the church will gather for worship, deliberations, policy reviews and major decisions shaping the church’s mission for the year ahead.
The 2026 General Assembly maintains the church’s blended approach to governance, combining virtual accessibility with in‑person fellowship, ensuring that administrative, spiritual and decision‑making activities remain uninterrupted and widely accessible.
The sessions will be streamed on the church’s official social media platforms under @presbyofficial, with support from PCG institutions including PCG TV and the Christian Messenger.
