Rev. Puplampu lauded for RTC transformation

The Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev. David Aboagye‑Danquah, has praised the outgoing Director of the Ramseyer Training Centre (RTC), Rev. Gideon Buernor Puplampu, for what he described as exceptional and transformational leadership over the past eight years.

Rev. Puplampu’s tenure as Director ends on 31st August 2026, after which he will assume office as Chairperson of the Dangme‑Tongu Presbytery on 1st September 2026.

In his report to the 26thh General Assembly at the Ramseyer Training Centre, the Clerk stated the remarkable progress RTC has made under Rev. Puplampu’s stewardship, noting that the centre “truly lived up to its reputation as a centre of excellence.”

He said the improvements in infrastructure, the enhanced learning environment, and the strengthening of training programmes were clear indicators of his visionary leadership.

According to the Clerk, Rev. Puplampu’s tenure led to the production of quality lay leaders and ministers who continue to serve the church effectively across the country. He described the visible transformation of RTC as “a testament to his commitment and dedication to the growth of the church.”

Rev. Aboagye‑Danquah also commended Rev. Puplampu’s broader contribution to the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, noting his 23 years of ordained ministry marked by consistency, innovation, and faithfulness. He extended the church’s gratitude and prayed for God’s guidance as Rev. Puplampu takes up his new leadership role.

The Clerk announced formally that Rev. Dr. Yaw Adu Boadu has been appointed as the new Director of RTC, effective 1st September 2026. He expressed confidence that Rev. Dr. Boadu will continue the transformation agenda and strengthen RTC’s mandate as a centre of skills, competence, and excellence for training lay leaders and preparing ministers for the PCG.

He ended with a blessing for both leaders, saying the General Assembly Council (GAC) prays for “God’s abundant grace” for the outgoing and incoming Director as RTC enters a new phase of development.
