Former Director of Mission and Evangelism, Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Kwabla Sarbah, has affirmed that completing his tenure at the directorate does not mean he has retired from missionary work. He described his transition as a reassignment within the wider ministerial calling God has entrusted to him.
Speaking at his send‑off service at the Church House, Accra, Rev. Dr. Sarbah said that while offices and roles may change, the divine calling remains unchanged. “It is simply a reassignment to another part of the work,” he noted, stressing that mission is a lifelong commitment and not tied to a particular office.
The service, attended by staff of the General Assembly Office, ministers, family members and well‑wishers, was marked by warm tributes acknowledging his years of dedicated service. His leadership at the directorate has been widely recognised for strengthening evangelistic work, expanding mission initiatives and inspiring many across the Church.
The Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev. David Aboagye Danquah, led the tributes, praising Rev. Dr. Sarbah’s unwavering commitment and impactful ministry. He described the send‑off as a moment for the Church to pause from its daily work and reflect with thanksgiving on the contributions of one of its own.
“With gratitude to God, appreciation and affection, we join you today in this staff send‑off ceremony in honour of our brother, Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Sarbah,” the Clerk said. He thanked the family of Rev. Dr. Sarbah for their support throughout his years of service.
“To the family, parents and children, we say thank you. The whole Church is grateful for the patience; understanding and support you have given him. Your contribution to his ministry is recognised and deeply appreciated.”
Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Kwabla Sarbah now serves as the District Minister for Tema Community One and Minister In‑Charge of the Greenwich Meridian Congregation.
