The West Akyem Presbytery has entered a new leadership phase as Rev. Charles Baah Ankrah officially assumed office as Presbytery Chairperson, pledging to build on the foundation already laid and to lead the Presbytery into a season of growth.
He made the commitment during a handing‑over ceremony held at the Presbytery Office in Akyem Oda. Rev. Baah Ankrah, who takes over from Rev. Raymond Baah Abekah, expressed deep gratitude to God for His grace and to the delegates of the 31st Presbytery Session for the confidence reposed in him.
He described his election as a sacred responsibility and assured the gathering that he would work with dedication, humility and a collaborative spirit to advance the Presbytery’s witness. He called on Ministers, Catechists, Presbyters and members across the Presbytery to actively support the growth and broader mission of the Church, noting that the work ahead requires unity, prayer and shared commitment.
“We must all work together to strengthen our congregations, deepen discipleship and expand our mission outreach,” he said.
Demonstrating his intention to modernise the Presbytery’s communication and outreach efforts, Rev. Baah Ankrah presented a professional camera to the West Akyem Presbytery Media Team. The gesture, warmly received, is expected to enhance media coverage, documentation and information dissemination across the Presbytery.
During the proceedings, the newly elected Presbytery Lay Representative to the General Assembly Council, Mr. Daniel Nyarko Debrah, was formally introduced.
