The Europe Presbytery has appointed Rev. Ebenezer Ahenkan Owusu as its Public Relations Officer (PRO), completing the full list of PROs for all 21 Presbyteries of the Church. Rev. Ahenkan Owusu, Minister‑in‑Charge of the El‑Shaddai Congregation, Nottingham‑UK/Sheffield PP‑UK, brings to the role a wealth of experience in communication, education and pastoral ministry.

He is a former National Public Relations Officer of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), a position he held before being succeeded by Mr. Jerome Otchere last year. His return to official communication duties within the church has been widely welcomed across the Europe Presbytery.

A seasoned minister and educator, Rev. Ahenkan Owusu’s academic journey reflects a deep commitment to both theological formation and professional excellence. He studied Religious Studies at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and trained for ministry at Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon.

He also pursued Education and Science at the University of Education, Winneba (Kumasi Campus) and further studies at the Presbyterian University, Ghana.

Before entering full‑time ministry, he trained as a teacher at Wesley College of Education, grounding him in the discipline and communication skills that have shaped his leadership. His secondary education at Konongo Odumasi Senior High School laid the foundation for his academic and ministerial pursuits.

The Europe Presbytery leadership described his appointment as timely and strategic, noting that his background as a former national PRO positions him to strengthen communication, visibility and public engagement across the Presbytery’s congregations in Europe. With this appointment, the PCG Now has PROs serving in all 21 Presbyteries, ensuring coordinated communication and enhanced public relations structures across the global PCG community.
