The North America/Australia Presbytery has been urged to take information technology, public relations and media engagement seriously as essential tools for strengthening the church’s witness in today’s digital generation.

During an online seminar that drew nearly 100 participants from across the Presbytery, the Public Relations Officer of the PCG, Jerome Otchere underscored the need for every communication effort, whether online or in public spaces, to reflect the identity of Christ and the dignity of the PCG.

He stressed that PR and media work are not mere technical functions but extensions of the church’s mission in today’s digital generation, requiring discipline, clarity and intentionality.

The Head of IT, Enoch Narteh, led participants through the church’s IT systems and the support available to Presbyteries seeking guidance on technology‑related matters. His presentation highlighted the importance of digital readiness, secure systems and proper use of available tools to enhance administrative efficiency and communication.

The session, which lasted almost three hours, offered participants the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarity on issues relating to technology, media, PR and the church’s evolving communication landscape.

The engagement reflected a growing awareness of the need for Presbyteries to adapt to modern communication demands while maintaining the church’s values.

Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. C. B. Appenteng thanked the Head Office resource persons for their insights and affirmed the Presbytery’s commitment to strengthening its communication structures. The Presbytery Clerk, Rev. Samuel K. Boateng, also expressed gratitude, assuring the facilitators that the knowledge gained would be put to effective use.
