Rev. Asante Afoakwa appointed Asante South PRO
The Asante South Presbytery has announced a new Public Relations Officer (PRO), appointing Rev. Edward Asante Afoakwa to take over the Presbytery’s communication and publicity responsibilities. His appointment marks a smooth transition in the Presbytery’s effort to strengthen visibility and information flow across its districts and congregations.
Rev. Afoakwa, a Minister at the Resurrection Congregation, Wassa Ankonsia in the Wassa Akropong District, assumes the role from Mr. Richard Ankomah, who served faithfully from September 2025 to August 2026. Mr. Ankomah has now begun ministerial formation at Trinity Theological Seminary (TTS), Legon, Accra.
Presbytery leadership expressed deep appreciation for Mr. Ankomah’s dedicated service, noting that he helped strengthen communication structures and improve the flow of information within the Presbytery. Rev. Afoakwa is expected to build on this foundation, bringing renewed energy and insight to the role.
The appointment is a timely step toward enhancing the Asante South Presbytery’s continuous public engagement, ensuring that its mission activities and programmes are communicated clearly and consistently to members and the wider PCG community.
