The newly elected Presbytery Chairperson for Dangme Tongu, Rev. Gideon Buernor Puplampu, has officially begun his mandate, marking a significant leadership transition within the Presbytery. The handing‑over ceremony took place at the Nii Teiko Dagadu Conference Hall at the Presbytery House.
Rev. Puplampu, who served for eight years as Director of the Ramseyer Training Centre, Abetifi, assumes the role with extensive experience in ministerial formation, leadership development and institutional administration. His stewardship at the Ramseyer Training Centre was widely regarded as transformational, strengthening training programmes and enhancing the Centre’s visibility and impact.
The outgoing Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Abraham Djaba Okai, formally handed over the mandate, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve and pledging his continued support for the Presbytery’s mission.
The ceremony also witnessed the transition in the office of the Presbytery Clerk. The outgoing Clerk, Rev. Sophia Ogerkuor Kitcher, handed over to the newly elected Presbytery Clerk, Rev. Paul Narteh Menzo.
Members of the Presbytery leadership, ministers, presbyters and family members attended the solemn ceremony, which highlighted the importance of continuity, stability and shared responsibility in the life of the Church.
Rev. Puplampu’s assumption of office marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Presbytery as it continues its work of nurturing Christian maturity, expanding mission outreach and supporting congregational growth across the Dangme Tongu Presbytery.
