The Director of Development and Social Services (DSS) for the West Brong Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), Mr. Samuel Sackitey Kpabitey, has been honoured as the Best Agricultural Extension Agent in the Dormaa Central Municipality during the 2025 National Farmers’ Day celebration.
The award, presented at the municipal level, recognises Mr. Kpabitey’s outstanding dedication to supporting farmers with technical knowledge, practical training, and innovative methods that enhance productivity and sustainability.
His work has been instrumental in strengthening agricultural practices across communities and empowering farmers to adopt modern techniques for ecological balance.
Mr. Kpabitey’s recognition speaks to the PCG’s broader commitment to agriculture as part of its holistic mission. Through its Development and Social Services Department, the Church continues to champion food security, ecological justice, and community empowerment, encouraging both clergy and laity to embrace farming as a vital tool for national growth.
By working closely with farmers, Mr. Kpabitey has helped improve yields, diversify production, and promote resilience in the face of environmental challenges.
