The North America/Australia Presbytery (NAAP) has expressed heartfelt gratitude following the successful pastoral visit of the Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Dr. Nana Opare Kwakye, his wife, Mrs. Benedicta Kwakye.
The Moderator concluded a ten-day mission tour in Australia, where he led worship, dedicated the Ebenezer Congregation Chapel in Sydney, and engaged with Ghanaian Presbyterian communities. The visit was described by NAAP leaders as “awesome,” leaving congregations spiritually renewed and deeply encouraged.
In a statement, NAAP extended sincere thanks to all ministers who played a role in the pastoral visit. They acknowledged the tireless efforts of the clergy and leadership who coordinated services, meetings, and fellowship during the Moderator’s stay.
The Presbytery stated that the collective work of ministers and members ensured that the visit honoured God and strengthened the witness of the PCG in the diaspora. The NAAP also expressed appreciation to the PR Office of the PCG for the publicity that marked the visit. They noted that the coverage allowed congregations in Ghana and abroad to follow the mission in real time, making them “proud” and reinforcing the PCG’s commitment to treating media as today’s mission field.
“We want to say a very big thank you to everyone, and especially to the PR team for the publicity during this short period of Australia hosting the Moderator, his wife, and the Chairperson. It was awesome. You made God honored and us proud,” the Presbytery said in its message of gratitude.
The pastoral tour, which combined worship, leadership engagement, and fellowship, has left a lasting impact on NAAP congregations. Leaders believe it will inspire greater unity, discipleship, and mission among Presbyterians in North America and Australia, while strengthening ties with the church in Ghana.
