Feverish preparations have been underway across the Central Presbytery as it readies to welcome the Moderator of the General Assembly of the PCG, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye. The visit, scheduled from Tuesday, February 24 to Sunday, March 1, 2026, is coming under the leadership of the Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Fiifi Foh Arkhurst.

This pastoral tour marks the Moderator’s third since November 2025 and his second this year, following similar visits to the North America–Australia Presbytery (NAAP) and the Western Presbytery. In those engagements, the Moderator met congregations and districts, encouraged ministers, and outlined the PCG’s vision for strengthening unity and mission across the global church.

He also inaugurated new projects, interacted with church groups, and emphasised leadership accountability while upholding faith in Christ and building on foundations already laid. The Central Presbytery is therefore anticipating similar developments.

The Moderator is expected to hold worship services, meet with ministers and catechists, and interact with the presbytery on matters of mission, growth, the Kutunse Project, and the bicentennial celebration. He will also encourage congregations to deepen their commitment to evangelism.

Presbytery Chairperson Rev. Fiifi Foh Arkhurst and Public Relations Officer, Catechist Rapheal Ansere told the PCG Public Relations Office that preparations have focused on logistical arrangements, publicity campaigns, and mobilisation of districts and congregations to ensure full participation.

The presbytery has expressed gratitude for the Moderator’s attention, noting that his presence inspires renewed zeal for ministry and fellowship. The Central Presbytery looks forward to a spiritually uplifting week that will strengthen bonds of unity and reaffirm the PCG’s mission under the Moderator’s guidance.
