The Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) has dedicated its new office complex known as Centenary Office Complex at Kyebi on Sunday 20th November 2022.

The office complex was named after Madam Susana Akosua Bour Gyankoroma and her husband Opanyin Yaw Boakye. The posthumous honour was in recognition of the deceased for their invaluable contribution towards the establishment and growth of the Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery and the Presbyterian Church of Ghana as a whole. The dedication coincided with the 100 years anniversary celebration of the Presbytery.
The office building complex
The dedication service was officiated by the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt Rev Prof Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante. He was assisted by the Presbytery Chairperson Rev Dr. Set. Kissi, the Presbytery Clerk Rev Dr. Bernard Adinkra, and Dr. Lawrence Misa Aboagye, the Presbytery Lay Representative on the General Assembly Council of the Church.

The dedication attracted high-profile personalities from all walks of life including His Excellence President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo President of the Republic of Ghana, heads from sister churches, businessmen and women, students, academicians, theologians, some Chairpersons and Lay Representative from the Presbyteries and many more.

Amidst singing and dancing those gathered at the function praised God for His favour on the Presbytery over the past 100 years of existence as well as the great infrastructural development in the history of the Presbytery.

The ultra-modern two two-story building was constructed with funds from fundraising, individual contributions, and support from the various Congregations and others.

The Rt. Prof. Rev. Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante, Moderator of the General Assembly of PCG in an address pointed out that the dedication of the office complex was symbolic, adding that the new face of achievement in the Presbytery should give members the cost to give thanks to God as well as to preach the Gospel.

The Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery Chairperson, Rev Dr. Seth Kissi underscored that the ultra-modern complex has space for a wide range of activities, thanking God for helping the Presbyter to build such a beautiful edifice.
He mentioned that all the various offices and conference halls have been named after individual persons who have contributed to the growth of the Church in the Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery.
