Moderator Address
The Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, addressed the Church and the entire nation on his assumption of the Moderatorship.

It is the Lord’s doing, and it is right in our sight. He explained that it is very humbling to take over from a strong leader Rev. Prof. J. O. Y. Mante who was his lecturer at the Seminary and appreciated him.

Recalling the tall list of Moderators of the GA of the PCG, he indicated his humility for the work. The Moderator invites all manner of persons to come on board as he leads the Church. He declared his willingness to serve the Church by quoting from Charles Dicken’s book, David Copafield, “Barkis is willin.”

The Past Principal Officers of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana accompanied the Moderator to his office to symbolically entool him. This holds a deep meaning for the office, giving him the full authority and assurance of the Church’s support to make his term a glorious one unto the Lord.
