Presby Press Appreciates Old Board Directors

Under the auspices of Rev. Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor, Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, the Presbyterian Press held a memorable and significant ceremony to see-off the old Board. The event, which took place at the head office of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in Accra-Osu, marked a momentous occasion, signifying the culmination of diligent service.

 

The old Board, Chaired by Nana Abra-Appiah, was lauded for their remarkable contribution during their tenure. In a carefully crafted address, Rev. Dr. Odonkor commended the old Board for their stewardship, which saw the Presbyterian Press not only improve operational efficiency but also expand its services and enhance its role as a leading Christian printing institution. He added that, their effort have strengthened the mission of the Church through quality Christian literature and services that uphold the values of the Presbyterian heritage.

He highlighted key achievements under the old Board, including the employed innovations and modernization of the printing infrastructure. The outgoing members were presented a plague each as an appreciation token with heartfelt gratitude expressed for their tireless dedication to the growth of the Presbyterian Press.

Quoting from Matthew 25:23, “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’” Clerk of GA emphasized that, if God so cares about companies who work to propagate the gospel, then Presbyterian Press will surely have a place in Heaven. Reiterating the words of Rev. Prof. E. Martey, he added, ‘The reward of a good work is more work, the more the work, the more the blessings.’

The new Board Chairperson, Mad. Norkor Dua expressed gratitude to the old Board for the great legacy left behind. She indicated their intention to bring on board modern technology to lift the work in the Press. She also made a clarion call on the Clerk of GA to use his office to ensure that the presence of the Press reflects on all PCG stationeries and printings.

With right hand of fellowship, the Board of Directors and the management and Head Office Staff present appreciated them for the good work done.
