Appoint More Presbyterians in Resetting Agenda… PCG Moderator to President Mahama
The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye has observed that members of the church are amongst some of the most loyal, trustworthy, and dedicated persons to work with.
He has therefore urged the government, led by President John Dramani Mahama to appoint more qualified members of the Presbyterian church to aid his resetting agenda. Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye made this observation in acknowledgement of the appointments of Presbyterian Church of Ghana members into key government positions.
“While appreciating the President for these appointments, I wish to assure the Government of this country, that Presbyterians are some of the most loyal, trustworthy and dedicated persons to serve his agenda of resetting the nation and invite him to appoint more Presbyterians to help make his goal a reality.”

the Moderator said in his address to the church’s General Assembly at Kwahu-Nkwatia.
Among the distinguished list of Presbyterian Church of Ghana members appointed to significant offices in the nation are Hon. Marietta Brew, the President’s Legal Counsel, Hon Seth Terkper, Presidential Advisor on the Economy, Hon. George Opare Addo, Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, and Hon. Thomas Nyarko Ampem, Deputy Minister for Finance and Economic Planning.
The rest are Brigadier General Maxwell Obuba Mantey, Director General of the Narcotics Control Commission, and Brigadier General Glover Ashong Annan, Commissioner of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority; Rev. Dr. Joseph Kofi Antwi and Rev. Prof. Johnson Mbillah, who are both PCG ministers, are also on Ghana’s Judicial Council.
