Two-day orientation for new GAC members ends

A two-day orientation programme for new members of the General Assembly Council (GAC) of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) has ended at Church House, Accra.

The programme, designed to familiarise new GAC members with the church’s administration, policies, and operations, featured presentations from key officers and leaders of the church.

It was also aimed at equipping the new GAC members with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively contribute to the church’s decision-making processes and governance.

The Moderator of the General Assembly of the PCG, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, and the Clerk of G. A., Rev. Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor, addressed the gathering on both days. Other presenters included:

Rev. Dr. Emmanuel K. Sarbah, Director of Mission and Evangelism; Rev. Andrew Shardow, Director of Church Life and Nurture; Rev. George Obeng Agyei Esq., Director of Administration and Human Resource Management (AHRM); Richard Dua-Ansah Esq., Legal Officer; Enoch Narteh, IT Officer and Jerome Otchere, Public Relations Officer.

The Presbytery Chairpersons and Lay Representatives actively engaged with the presenters, seeking clarification on administrative, legal, IT, public relations and other church life issues.

The new GAC members, comprising Presbytery Chairpersons and Lay Representatives, are Rev. Daniel Brobbey, Asante South Presbytery; Rev. Roger A. Wegurih, Upper Presbytery and Rev. Joshua Bossman Ohene, Kwahu Presbytery.

The Lay Representatives are Mr. Daniel Ansah, Sefwi Presbytery; Mr. Martin George Asante, Volta Presbytery; Mrs. Agnes Darkowaah Denkyi, Central Presbytery; Mr. Seth Adu, Asante Akyem Presbytery and Madam Abena Gyamera, Akuapem Presbytery.
