The Head of Department for Regions and Missions Associations at the Evangelical Mission in Solidarity (EMS), Rev. Georg Meyer has paid a courtesy visit to the General Assembly Office of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) as part of his official trip to Ghana.
The visit formed part of his engagements around the Young Peace Builders Project and other mission-related activities. During his visit, Rev. Georg Meyer met with the PCG’s Director of Ecumenical and Social Relations and Vice President of the EMS Presidium Rev. Andrews Odjawo.
The meeting focused on strengthening the longstanding partnership between EMS and PCG, particularly in areas of youth development, peacebuilding, and social mission.
Rev. Meyer expressed his enthusiasm about the Young Peace Builders Project, which brings together youth from various regions, including the Near East and Middle East, to finalise a curriculum for peace education.
He noted that the shift from virtual collaboration to in-person meetings in Akropong marks a significant moment in the initiative’s progress.
In addition to the peacebuilding agenda, Rev. Georg Meyer shared updates on EMS’s continued support for Presbyterian Health Services (PHS) under the Department of Social Services (DSS) and highlighted the importance of youth exchange programmes between Ghana and Germany.
