The Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) will today formally induct Rev. David Aboagye-Danquah as the 14th Clerk of the General Assembly, marking a significant milestone in the Church’s leadership journey.

The induction service is scheduled to take place at the Most Holy Trinity Congregation, Community 18, Tema, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The ceremony is expected to draw clergy, laity, and dignitaries from across the country, all gathered to celebrate Rev. Aboagye-Danquah’s transition into the highest administrative office of the Church. The event will be broadcast live on PCG TV.

Rev. Aboagye-Danquah officially assumed office on Monday, 1st December 2025, following a solemn handing-over ceremony at the Eben-Ezer Congregation, Osu. During that occasion, outgoing Clerk Rev. Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor formally passed on the mantle of leadership, symbolising continuity and renewal within the PCG’s governance structure.

In his inaugural sermon, Rev. Aboagye-Danquah reflected on themes of gratitude, integrity, and togetherness, expressing heartfelt appreciation to God and the Church for entrusting him with this sacred responsibility. He acknowledged the Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, for his guidance and pledged to serve with humility, diligence, and vision.

“This is not just an office—it is a calling to steward the Church’s mission with faithfulness and clarity,” he declared. Today’s induction marks the beginning of a new chapter in the PCG’s administrative leadership, with Rev. Aboagye-Danquah expected to oversee strategic planning, governance, and coordination of the Church’s national and international engagements.
