The Bible Study and Prayer Group (BSPG) of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana inducted new national executives into office during its 60th Anniversary Convention held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi.
The solemn induction service was led by the Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, assisted by the Clerk of General Assembly, Rev. David Aboagye-Danquah. In his charge, the Moderator urged the new leaders to work diligently and faithfully in advancing the mission of the BSPG, reminding them that leadership is a sacred responsibility that demands sacrifice and commitment.
Rev. David Aboagye-Danquah prayed for the new leaders. The newly inducted executives include Dr. Richard Owusu-Afriyie, President; Frank Danso Dankyi, Vice President; Alex Ayeh Aormor, Financial Secretary; Ernestina Abena Dede, Treasurer; Hayford Kwasi Okumuah, Organising Secretary; Adams Akuamoah Frimpong, Project Committee Chair; and James Owusu Boateng, Finance Committee Chair.
Other officers are C. D. Agyei, Director of Evangelism and Congregation Planting Committee; Vida Anim Misiame, YPG Representative; Richard Somuah, YAF Representative; Fred Yaw Darko, Centre Director; Mark Dankyira Korankye, Secretary; and Rev. Joseph Loving O. Qcquaye, Chaplain.
The YPG and YAF representatives are new entrants to the national executive, while the rest continue in their second and final three-year term in accordance with the BSPG constitution. The induction formed part of the highlights of the BSPG’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, which brought together members from across the country to reflect on the group’s heritage and renew their commitment to prayer, Bible study, and evangelism.
