National Ministers’ Conference Opens at KNUST
The 2026 National Ministers’ Conference (NMC) of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana officially opens this evening at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi.
Under the theme “Equipped to Lead, Empowered to Disciple: Building the Church of Tomorrow” (Ephesians 4:11–12), the week-long gathering brings together ministers, church leaders, and national officers from across the country for spiritual renewal, leadership training, and strategic planning.
The opening service will be led by Rev. Dr. Kofi Amfo-Akonnor, President of the NMC, with greetings from Rev. Josephine M. Ankrah and a welcome address by Rev. Dr. William Owusu-Boateng, President of the Asante Fellowship.
Rev. Daniel Brobbey, Assistant General Secretary, will conduct the roll call, followed by a commemoration of the faithful departed and closing prayers.
The Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, serves as Special Guest of Honour, while the main speaker for the conference is Rev. Edwin Tetteh Buertey, Chaplain of the Presbyterian College of Education, Akropong.
The programme includes morning reflections, plenary sessions, seminars, health talks, elections, and a covenant service. Highlights include theme addresses by Rev. Edwin Buertey, seminars on discipleship and renewal, and presentations from the General Assembly Office.
The conference runs from Monday, 5th January to Friday, 9th January 2026, with PCG TV serving as the official media partner.
