The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye has arrived in Australia in the North America and Australia Presbytery, for a ten-day pastoral visit. He arrived at the Kingsford Smith International Airport on Friday at 6:50am AEST.

The visit, which spans from January 23 to February 2, 2026, is designed to strengthen fellowship among the PCG members in Australia, deepen pastoral care, and encourage congregations in their mission and witness. It is the Moderator’s first pastoral visit this year, coming on the back of his last one in November 2025 to the Western Presbytery in Ghana.

During this trip, the Moderator will worship with congregations, meet with church leaders, and dedicate new places of worship. His presence is expected to inspire members and reaffirm the PCG’s commitment to global mission, pastoral oversight, and unity across continents where the church is fast establishing its presence.

The pastoral visit, a key feature in the Moderator’s yearly plan, underscores the PCG’s vision of building bridges with its diaspora communities, ensuring that members of the church everywhere remain connected to the PCG’S mission of spreading the gospel and nurturing discipleship.

Our media team across the North America and Australia and those in Ghana are on hand to share all the news stories on the Moderator’s visit. Follow all the PCG’s media outlets for up-to-the-minute updates and reports on the Moderator’s visit.
