The Central Presbytery has successfully concluded its Workshop on Discipleship and the Manual for PCG, held in alignment with the Church’s ambitious Agenda 2 Million and 1,000 Churches vision.
The workshop, hosted by the Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Fiifi Foh Arkhurst, brought together more than 100 participants, including District Ministers, Catechists, Caretakers, Mission and Evangelism Coordinators, CLAN leaders, and District Lay Representatives from all 14 districts of the Presbytery.
The workshop was designed to provide structured and practical ways for members to grow into mature disciples of Christ. It sought to guide participants into intentional spiritual growth, while also promoting and coordinating the work of committees under one department with clear guidelines.
A key focus was equipping frontline leaders with the resources and knowledge needed to plan effective programmes in their congregations, ensuring that discipleship remains central to the life of the Church.
The sessions were facilitated by seasoned leaders of the PCG, including the President of the National Ministers’ Conference, Rev. Dr. Kofi Amfo Akonnor, the National Director of Mission and Evangelism, Rev. Dr. E. K. Sarbah, the CLAN Director, Rev. Andrew Shardow, and Rev. Dr. D. O. Bediako Akoto.
Their presentations combined theological depth with practical strategies, inspiring participants to embrace discipleship as both a personal journey and a collective responsibility. As the workshop ended, participants expressed renewed commitment to strengthening discipleship in their districts and congregations.
