On the fourth lap of his pastoral visit to the North America–Australia Presbytery (NAAP), the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, is set to lead a special divine service in Adelaide, South Australia, where a nursery church is undergoing revamping.
The service, scheduled for Thursday, 29th January 2026 at 7pm (7am GMT), takes place at the John McVeity Centre, located at 182 Peachey Road, Smithfield Plains SA 5114. This marks a significant moment in the Moderator’s ten-day pastoral tour, which has already seen impactful engagements in Sydney, Perth, and Melbourne.
Joining the Moderator for the Adelaide service are key leaders of the NAAP, including Rev. Christian B. Appenteng, Chairperson of the North America–Australia Presbytery, and Rev. Kwadwo Osei-Bonsu, PCG Australia District Minister. The host congregation, El-Bethel Congregation, will be represented by its Minister-in-Charge, Rev. Charles Baah-Ankrah, and Catechist David Asamoah.
The event is being organised under the auspices of Presbyterian Church International (PCG International) and is expected to draw members from across Adelaide and surrounding areas. The divine service will not only offer spiritual renewal but also serve as a rallying point for the strengthening of PCG’s presence in South Australia.
