Cash, bags of cement for NUPS G auditorium
The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, has on behalf of the church presented a cheque for GHS100,000 to support the construction of the National Union of Presbyterian Students – Ghana (NUPS‑G) auditorium at the North Campus of the University of Education, Winneba.
Impressed by the progress of work on the edifice, the Moderator and his wife, Mrs. Benedicta Kwakye, also made a personal donation of 100 bags of cement toward the project and pledged further support.
The presentations were made shortly before the Moderator mounted the pulpit to preach at a divine service in the NUPS‑G auditorium, which was held on the final day of his weeklong pastoral tour of the Central Presbytery.
The Moderator described the developments at the auditorium as a “beautiful climax” to his stay in the Presbytery, noting the enthusiasm and joy with which the students sang and danced during the service. He commended the leadership of NUPS‑G for their dedication and hard work, assuring them of the church’s continued support for their vision.
The Winneba visit capped a tour that took the Moderator through four zonal areas of the Central Presbytery, with the Moderator consistently urging Agents, congregants, students, and others to prepare actively for the church’s bicentennial celebration in 2028, support flagship initiatives such as the Kutunse Project, commit to the Agenda 2 Million and stay united.
