“I charge you to uphold the highest standards of professional ethics, but even more importantly, to treat every client who walks through these doors with love, dignity and compassion of Christ. As you administer medicine, let your smiles and words of encouragement provide healing to the brokenhearted.”

This was the strong call to medical professionals and officers of the Presbyterian Health Service by the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye at the commissioning of the Presbyterian Health Centre at Akyeremade, Kwadaso District, Asante Presbytery.

“Let this facility be known for its high standards and Christian empathy” he added. The Moderator stressed that the management and staff who will operate the new facility have a responsibility to ensure quality care and compassion. He urged the community to safeguard the facility, describing it as their heritage and a blessing to generations.

He expressed gratitude to the planners, builders, and all who contributed to the project, noting that the Presbyterian Church of Ghana remains committed to serving the nation through health and social services. The Moderator further prayed that the centre would become “a place where fear is replaced by hope, and where sickness gives way to health.”
