Sixty‑one trainees, comprising 50 men and 11 women, have successfully completed the Lay Ministries Training Programme of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) at the Ramseyer Training Centre (RTC), Abetifi.

Held between 1st and 14th March 2026, the programme offered three streams of study: the Advanced Certificate in Christian Ministry (ACCM), the Basic Certificate in Christian Ministry (BCCM – Catechist Option: Advanced), and the Basic Certificate in Christian Ministry (BCCM – Catechist Option: Foundation).

The Lay Ministries Training Programme provides a comprehensive curriculum that includes Old Testament Studies, New Testament Studies, Church History, Evangelism, Church Growth, and African Traditional Religion. Other courses cover Christian Spirituality, Prayer and Faith, Counselling Ministries, Bible Study Methods and Tools, Christian Leadership, Homiletics, and Contemporary Liturgy.

The training is designed to equip participants with essential competencies in Christian leadership, sound biblical interpretation, Christian doctrine, evangelism, and conflict management. By combining academic study with spiritual formation, the programme prepares lay leaders to serve faithfully and effectively in their congregations.

The Lay Ministries Training Programme remains open to all faithful members of the PCG who, in response to God’s call, desire to deepen their knowledge of Scripture and Christian leadership. It offers a pathway for those seeking to serve the Church with diligence, faithfulness, and a higher level of competence in biblical truth.
