The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, on the third day of his pastoral visit to the Brong Ahafo Presbytery, made a stop at Tanoboase in the Tuobodom District to inspect the ongoing construction of a new Presbyterian Clinic.

Currently operating from a temporary house, the clinic is expected to significantly improve Out-Patient Department (OPD) services once completed. The project, which began in late 2024, is a joint effort between the Church and the community. Construction has reached the lintel stage, with roofing as the next phase.

Welcoming the Moderator, a spokesperson for the Traditional Council revealed that the community has already mobilized GHS 30,000 out of the GHS 40,000 needed to procure timber for the roofing. He also shared a profound story about the establishment of a Presbyterian school in Tanoboase, remarking in a memorable statement: “The Presbyterian Church brought education, and education brought the Church.”

The Moderator expressed delight at the strong partnership between the Church and the community, commending the traditional leadership for their commitment. He encouraged them to view the traditional stool as a “Presbyterian stool” and prayed that many more would join the Church to serve the Lord.

He assured the gathering that the PCG Head Office would collaborate with the Presbytery to provide roofing sheets, while expressing confidence that the Tuobodom District could raise the remaining GHS 10,000 required for timber.

Speaking on behalf of the Chief of Tanoboase, Nana Baffour Amisare Dwomoh II, Nana Adomako Acheampong expressed gratitude to the Moderator for his visit and support. In a symbolic gesture, the Moderator presented a Bicentennial Legacy Bible to the traditional leaders, praying that they would anchor their lives and leadership on the wisdom of Scripture.
