With history, fun, and fellowship woven together, the Presbyterian Church of Ghana has announced an exciting lineup of Bicentennial activities running from March to June 2026.

In a circular signed by the Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev. David Aboagye‑Danquah, Presbyteries across the country have been tasked to mobilise members for programmes designed to deepen historical awareness, strengthen evangelism, and energise youth participation.

The celebration kicks off with a Heritage Trail from March to May, inviting Youth and Junior Youth members to explore historic sites and connect with the church’s rich legacy. In April and May, congregations will host a vibrant Children’s Walk, turning the streets into avenues of joy and evangelism as young ones spread the Bicentennial message to peers and communities.

From June to August, the spotlight shifts to knowledge and competition with quiz contests for YPG, Junior Youth, and Presbyterian Senior High Schools, climaxing in a national showdown of winners. Rev. Aboagye‑Danquah stressed that these activities are central to the Bicentennial programme, urging Presbyteries to fully mobilise members.

More than just events, the celebrations reflect the church’s vision of being a Christ‑centered, self‑sustaining, and growing Church, while reinforcing its mission of nurturing faith, promoting unity, and preserving heritage.
