Rev. Ebenezer K. Kwesi elected Kwahu Presbytery Clerk
The Kwahu Presbytery has elected Rev. Ebenezer Kweku Kwesi as its new Presbytery Clerk following a smooth election held during the Presbytery Session. His election marks a significant leadership transition as he takes over from Rev. Frank Twumasi Nkum, who is completing his term of service this year.
The election featured three candidates and was conducted in a calm, orderly manner, reflecting the church’s commitment to democratic governance and transparent leadership processes. At the close of polls, Rev. Ebenezer K. Kwesi secured a commanding victory with 43 votes, representing 56.6% of the total ballots cast. He was followed by Rev. Bright Odame, who obtained 29 votes (38.1%), while Rev. Ebenezer Sasu Frimpong received 4 votes (5.3%).
Delegates described the contest as cordial and spiritually grounded, commending all candidates for their humility and dedication to the mission of the church. The mandate given to Rev. Kwesi reflects the confidence of the Presbytery in his administrative competence, pastoral experience, and commitment to strengthening the work of God within the Kwahu Presbytery.
In accepting the call to serve, Rev. Kwesi is expected to work closely with the Presbytery Chairperson, Sessions, Districts, and congregations to advance the church’s mission, deepen discipleship, and support the implementation of the PCG’s strategic vision.
His tenure will also involve guiding the Presbytery’s administrative structures, nurturing ministerial welfare, and promoting unity and growth across the districts. Outgoing Clerk, Rev. Frank Twumasi Nkum, was acknowledged for his dedicated service, steady leadership, and contributions to the spiritual and administrative life of the Presbytery.
Delegates expressed gratitude for his commitment and prayed for God’s continued guidance in his ministry. The election of Rev. Ebenezer K. Kwesi marks a new chapter for the Kwahu Presbytery as it continues to build on its strong foundations and pursue excellence in ministry and mission.
