Clerk lauds Ga West Presbytery: ‘You have lived up to expectation’
The Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev. David Aboagye‑Danquah, has highly commended the Ga West Presbytery for its remarkable growth and impact over the past decade. He gave the commendation while addressing the 10th Presbytery Session of Ga West Presbytery.
Rev. Aboagye‑Danquah praised the leadership of the Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Enoch Pobee, together with the Agents and congregants, for their dedication and hard work. He noted that the decision to carve Ga West out of the Ga Presbytery ten years ago has proven to be one of the Church’s most fruitful administrative steps.
Reflecting on the Presbytery’s achievements, he remarked: “On your 10th anniversary, I congratulate you for making the whole Church proud. We have not regretted creating the Ga West Presbytery. You have lived up to expectation.”
He further encouraged the Presbytery to continue positioning itself as a strategic pillar for the future of the Church, adding that Ga West’s progress demonstrates the wisdom behind its creation.
Touching on internal discipline and communication, the Clerk reminded members of the importance of using the Church’s established grievance procedures. He cautioned against the growing trend of rushing to social media with complaints.
“We have clear channels of redress,” he stressed. “If you have issues, follow the grievance procedures. Refrain from rushing to social media. It is becoming one too many of late.”
