Don’t give yourselves to exam malpractice
The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare‑Kwakye, has urged candidates preparing for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to approach the exams with confidence, discipline, and total honesty.
The examination begins on Monday, 4th May 2026, and ends on Friday, 8th May 2026.
In a heartfelt video message, the Moderator encouraged the candidates to trust in their preparation and rely on the values of diligence and hard work instilled in them throughout their schooling. He reminded them that the BECE is their first major national academic examination, and though it may come with pressure, they should remain calm and focused.
The Moderator strongly cautioned the candidates against engaging in exam malpractice, stressing that such acts undermine integrity and dishonour God. “Do not give yourselves to exam malpractice,” he said, urging them to uphold truthfulness as a Christian virtue.
He prayed for all candidates, asking God to grant them protection, retentive memories, clarity of thought, and positive outcomes. He also prayed for wisdom to guide them throughout the examination period.
