Ministers, spouses equipped for healthy marriages
A refreshing and spiritually uplifting Ministers and Spouses Retreat has been held at the Asamoah‑Odei Hall in Nsawam, bringing together ministers and their partners from across the Akuapem Presbytery for a time of renewal and learning.
The retreat focused on strengthening marital intimacy, family finances, emotional wellbeing, and practical ways of enjoying marriage as God intended.
The sessions were facilitated by Rev. Ing. Kofi and Mama Ankamah‑Asamoah, who led participants through the theme, “How to Enjoy Your Marriage Plus Romance.” Their presentations offered practical, biblically grounded insights designed to help ministers build joyful, resilient, and fulfilling Christian homes.
Beyond the teaching sessions, participants enjoyed a warm time of fellowship over a shared meal, deepening bonds and strengthening the sense of community among ministers and their spouses. The atmosphere was marked by laughter, reflection, and renewed commitment to nurturing healthy marriages.
The retreat proved to be a beautiful moment of learning and restoration, reaffirming the truth that strong homes build strong ministries, and that the wellbeing of ministers’ families is essential to effective service in the Church.
In his closing remarks, the Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Ebenezer Acheampong Asiedu, encouraged ministers to model exemplary Christian marriages and to serve as worthy examples to their congregations and society. He emphasised that faithful and fruitful ministry is rooted in stable, Christ‑centred homes.
